all about family history

I've made another blog that I've been working on all semester for my family history class. It's got all sorts of things from my goals and point of view on life, to a pedigree chart and original ancestral documents.

This is an invitation to all of you to go look at it! Here is the link:

boo you whore!

Nothing like a great chick flick every now and then! These two movies crack me up. I could quote them forever and never get tired.

college joys

I love Kjerstin Schwendiman and Stephen Flanders!

After studying in the library from 9:30 till 11:30, we went to get food. Lets just say that we were hungry. And even though Stephen had to go home because of curfew, it was still grand!

note the giant stack of donuts, and the taco bell wrapper. we had a ton of food.

what the frick? HOW did we get here??

Wow! I can't believe it's almost the end of October already! This semester is flying by so quickly. It's been pretty amazing thus far. So many great new friends, new experiences, and flat out fun times. My new roommate, Kjerstin, is the best. Half the time we stay up into all hours of the night laughing at ridiculous things that probably aren't that funny during "normal" hours. We have some pretty rockin' times during those "normal" hours too though... definitely every day has something great about it.
Our other partner in crime is none other then Stephen! He rocks :) He's accompanied us in many great adventures. Pretty fun to cuddle too. hehe.
I love these two so much. They've made this semester great for me. I don't know what I'd do without them. There are so many inside jokes we have it's fantastic.
Here are some pictures from our adventures (and other's) thus far. Enjoy :]

Another music video I love

His moves are just so amazing... plus the strobe light just makes it downright awesome.

snowboarding? as a class? I love byu idaho!

So I must say... I absolutely love my snowboarding class. It's amazing. I love being able to leave all the stresses, or just random things that happened during the week, at school and just be able to go essentially sort of work out in a fun way and push myself to get better at a sport I love. Friday I learned how to officially carve because Mannor taught Terynn and I. It's really great because at the beginning of the semester I wasn't good at snowboarding at all. But I've gotten so much more confident in myself and I know that I can improve and achieve goals that I set for myself. I think my basic goal for snowboarding was to be able to become comfortable turning back and forth on the board and to be able to have fun and enjoy myself. I am proud to say I think I have almost accomplished that goal, and feel really good about myself. Not to mention, when you get to the top of the lift that goes to the top of the mountain, there is always a beautiful view (if the weather is clear). But yes, I love snowboarding. I'm so glad they offer it as a class up here at good ol' byui.

Dear John,

Has it been two years yet? I miss you terribly. Please come home already, I'd like my friend back. I miss talking to him in person. I know that you're out doing a marvelous work, and I'm extremely happy about that, but I just wish I could talk to you again without it being through pen and paper. Sorry to be so negative :/ Better days will come I know. Hearing from you would push that along!
love, ashley
